Welcome to CRCICA CRCICA is an International Organization operating in Egypt since 1979 by dint of an international agreement signed between the Egyptian Government and the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization (having more than 45 member-states). Since that time, CRCICA has administered domestic and international cases - according to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules (institutionally adapted and slightly amended) with parties from all around the world. CRCICA continues to witness remarkable increase in its case referrals reaching by mid-May 2005 440 cases. Maintaining an international list of more than 1,000 eminent arbitrators, CRCICA is increasingly being resorted to act as an appointing authority in various cases. To help promote arbitration and other ADRs, CRCICA has developed since the early 80s a constant strategic vision to provide continuous educational programs on different complementary levels within the bounds of this, it pioneers in introducing to the region the educational methodologies of key international institutions through holding standard international arbitration courses. Under this category, the year 2005 witnessed the introduction of a significant series of courses being the first distant International Commercial Arbitration Course of the Queen Mary School of International Arbitrators (SIA) / University of London. At the end of the Course, SIA and CRICICA concluded an agreement authorizing CRCICA to hold SIA International Commercial Arbitration (and other ADRs) Certificate Courses in the Afro-Asian region on regular basis. Beside holding regular arbitration training courses and conferences on the peaceful settlement of international commercial and investment disputes, CRCICA holds international investment and trade related conferences to create a trans-cultural | ![]() |

central point that intersects the international with the regional with the ultimate purpose to attain conformity with international law and practice, some of these deal with the World Trade Organization Agreements, Build-Own-Transfer Projects, Arab-European Partnership, procurement, e-commerce and International Energy Agreements.
CRCICA spreads its strategies through five branches and affiliates being; the Investment and Arbitration Institute (1990); the Arab and African Arbitrators Association (1991); the Alexandria Centre for International Maritime Arbitration (1992); the Alexandria Centre for International Arbitration (2001); Mediation and ADR Branch (2001) and finally the Port Said Branch for International Arbitration (2004). In parallel lines, CRICICA hosts the General Secretariat of the Arab Union of International Arbitration (1997); the Cairo Branch of the London Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (1999) and the Middle East Development Law Institute of the International Law Institute of Washington (2003). CRCICA is all the more gaining momentum on both arenas, the regional and the International; it takes regional lead in providing technical and administrative training for a wide range of regional arbitral institutions in different countries such as: Djibouti, Bahrain, Yemen, Nigeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Palestine….etc. and it has succeeded in developing unmatched international relations with key entities involved in developmental / promotional ADR activities all around the world such as the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI), the Global Centre for Dispute Resolution Research and the International Trade Centre (ITC). |
